After a steady increase of U.S. consumers watching recently discovered favorite shows online up until 2021, the share of respondents to the survey leveled off in 2022, at 75 percent. Viewing favorite shows on the streaming platform Netflix even declined from 2020 to 2022, while traditional multichannel video programming distributors (MVPD) grew in popularity again in 2022.
